Jackpot Gurnard is also a $100 – my money is on that it goes this weekend.

This is a challenge weekend with every gurnard being worth double points. The sea has come to the party on this one.

The forecast for Saturday looks magic, a few clubbies caught gurnard last Saturday locally in very similar conditions so well worth a plan to bank some double points. Snapper have been in good numbers on and off mainly at changes of lights with some very nice size as well, plenty of kahawai about and whispers of the odd kingfish chasing in behind,  you would have to think anytime the moki are about to fire as well. If this doesn’t get you thinking about restocking the tackle box for the weekend, I’m not sure what will.

Has the feel that it will be an absolute belter of a weigh in on Sunday and at the very least a nice weekend to chill on the beach. Just a reminder that this is a Saturday 5am start and that for those wanting to use a mat to release these need to be a clear video sent to myself or Nikki before or at weigh in – Not after.
