Heaviest Gurnard Mark Ives at Mahia .71kg
Best Other Pin Moki James Benge 3.21 kg at TA
Average Kahawai Hamish Nichol 1.455kg Napier Side.
Although fishing sounded slow, for those that put in the time and pushed through the rain they did manage to pick up fish to add to the chillybin. Standouts were Kane, George and James Benge with a well earnt variety of fish.
Gurnard were worth double points , but these were hard to pick up in a perfect gurnard seas. Jackpot gurnard goes up to $150 for the 3rd FW in 3 weekends time. Worth another nudge next time around.
Murphys law fishing before and after the FW has been really good so fingers crossed the next one in late October will live up to its expectations.
Our next big event is The Kahawai Comp on Labour Weekend, see you all on the Sunday.
