FW11 Results
FW11 sponsored by Hamills was a bonus point weekend with 5 kahawai earning 250 bonus points. Well done to the 9 out of 18 that managed this.
Sea conditions were pretty kind for the Saturday Start with the majority of clubbies making the most of the great fishing locally, a few stragglers travelling up the line to have a crack at Mahanga,Mohaka and Whakaki. Gurnard were once again in good numbers and it was great to see a large number of kahawai . Snapper were a bit harder to come by , but to be expected in late April.

The jackpot pin Snapper lives to fight another day , now at $450 that must go for the final Open Weekend. Heaviest Snapper will win whatever the size. My money is it will be pin weight plus some!
Points wise 1st and 2nd in the open will come down to the last FW with George holding a 1180 point advantage currently over 2nd place Kane, very little separating 3rd to 9th for those trying to get one up on their mates for the season .
Pete K and Ian look to have the Veterans and Golden Oldies cups secure for another year respectively after putting the hard yards in early.
Sue K has a healthy lead in the Ladies but not unassailable . and Juniors is very tight with a mere 125 separating Dakota, Lokan J & Xavier B
All lines up to be a belter of a last Open Boundary FW kicking off May 17th, One feels plans on top of plans will be key for those chasing the silverware. For those just to looking to dust the rods off, the last one is always a great one to be apart of, with a great opportunity to fish new water, catch up with mates before the winter weather cools a few areas off.
Goodluck for the next one and for those itchy before hand the fishing locally currently continues to be red hot.
