This is a local Boundary weekend with kick off 5pm Friday and weigh in Sunday 12pm at the Taradale Club 55 Wharerangi Road.

All normal rules apply. A reminder that this year trunked SSH is now a minimum length of 70cm, and with those looking to release it is still a minimum length of 1metre.

No photos will be accepted this year so for those looking to release it must be a clear video with a measure mat showing that its bigger than the minimum length required. There is more info on the Pania Surfcasting Website under Measuring Fish.

For those feeling ambitious this is a challenge weekend. If you can manage 7 or more weighable fish made up of 3 or more varieties you will receive a bonus of 300 points. All weighable species included.

Weather looks breezy with it not making its mind up if it wants to blow from the SW or the NW. Here’s hoping more of the latter.  Although its early their has been some quality fish caught recently and looking at that forecast local or parts of Mahia seem to be a decent shot at seeing what’s out there.
