Field weekend 2025.26

Attached are the points  for Last Cast FW 1 kicking off the 25/26 Season. Was a weekend for the keen with the Southwest Friday making the fishing challenging. 13 clubbies came to weigh in with 3 weighing fish. James Benge, George and Mark Ives all weighing fish.

James managing the 300 bonus points for 7 fish and 3 species, a great effort considering the challenging weekend. 5 kahawai a .8kg gurnard and a 3.025 kg snapper, Mahia producing here.

Prizes went to James Benge, for his snapper or gurnard, George for average Kahawai, Mark Ives for his 3 kahawai weighed and Dakota winning the drawn prize.

Thanks to Last Cast Bait and tackle for sponsoring FW 1 , once the weather plays ball we should start seeing some Quality, FW 2 the open I’m sure will be a biggie. A mention to new member Will Hastie with a quality 6.765 Snapper caught locally Thursday night before the wind change, just shows what’s out there when the weather lines up. Great Stuff.
