Thanks to Nikki and Mark for organising the first Brass Monkey Event Sunday been.
18 fishers out at Le Quesne Road on a kind day for winter in Hawkes Bay with decent sea conditions. With spiney dogs and carpet sharks keeping a few on their toes. And the odd small kahawai, gurnard, spotty, sole etc. From all reports a quiet day fishing but a relaxing one all the same.
Well done to Dakota and Adam, 2 junior members weighing in a spotty and a gurnard just shy of the minimum Pania weight of 0.5kg.
With no one weighing in a minimum size fish , the sweepstake of $36 will be added onto the next winter fish together, weather permitting the 27th July.
Special mention To Gary Kemsley for the fishbites donations and to the Taradale Club for putting on their 1st of 3 $35 vouchers for the Winter Events. Dave Henare being the lucky angler drawing the voucher on Sunday.
