Hi Team,

Our first Casting Club Day is this Sunday 10^th September 9am weather permitting.

It will be at 307 Ngatarawa Road Bridge Pa Hastings. This is where the Ngatarawa winery use to be.  Same place as the last casting day last year.

Big entrance at the roadfront with signs say Bostock Wines New Zealand and Downs Organic Orchard, come in here follow the driveway until you see some small cattle yards on your right. The Casting Paddock is to the right of this.

To be eligible for the Champions of Champion trophy members must participate in at least one casting event. As per usual your best day of casting results will go towards the casting trophies.

If anyone gets lost or is unsure on directions give us a bell on 021336112. Should be easy to find though. Long range forecast looks like we should squeeze in a nice morning of casting.

• FW1 Open 15 – 17^th September.

On a side note for those looking to dust off their surfcasting rods for spring . The fishing on the hastings side has been remarkable over the last 2 weeks. A fullish tide close to sunset has seen some consistent great catches for a few clubbies , 4 out of 5 evenings producing bags of 4 to 10 snapper each respectively . Pannies mixed in with some very fat 2-6kg fish. Bit of food for thought for those thinking it’s quiet.
