Fishing was a bit more spread out this weekend with some clubbies venturing up towards Mahia for Friday night and Saturday, this did see an increase of snapper numbers at weigh in but in general size was quite small with the average
snapper being around the 600g mark with Pete K being the exception of catching a couple of 1kg+ fish at Whakaki.
Standout bag this weekend was Kane , managing to bag his snapper and kahawai and 4 gurnard. Pete K , George and Justin not too far behind with a nice mixture of fish. This was a challenge weekend . 300 bonus points awarded for

1/3 of the season done and dusted sees a change at the top of the leaderboard with Kane overtaking George into 1st place, only a mere 200 points separation. James B , Justin and Pete K rounding out the top 5.

Hopefully the long range weather improves for Dec 1st and for those looking to dust off their rods and have a FW fish, the hams is always a good one to have a crack .
Looks like a good weekend coming to top up the tackle boxes, tick off all your house jobs off the list and get ready for the following fishing weekend. More info to come next week.
