Craftys Field Weekend 12 Open
This Friday May 16th kicks off our last FW for 2025 which is an open boundary weekend. Kindly sponsored By Crafty’s. Some great deals for those duck shooters out there, also with some great bargains on Stoney Creek gear leading into winter. For those keen fishers this weekend a warm jersey will be key. Thanks To Craftys and the team for their ongoing support to the Club. Always generous on the oil on where the fish are getting caught. Support our sponsors when you can.
Prizes – Heaviest Snapper, Heaviest Gurnard, Average Kahawai, Best Other , Best Junior and the $450 Jackpot SSH 5kg+. Let alone the bragging rights of the leaderboards.
This is a fish anywhere in NZ weekend, with Fishing kicking off Friday 5pm and Weigh in the later time of 2pm Sunday at the Taradale Club
Please note that due to being an open weekend estuaries and harbours are permitted.
All other normal rules apply, check your minimum fish sizes and quotas for those travelling out of the region.
The weather is kind this weekend with the majority of the East Coast looking bloody good, and some really good catches of Gurnards within the boundaries for those looking closer to home. May seems to be the new April this year.
A very exciting weekend and all leads into a belter of a weigh in. Always a good weekend for those targeting species and some stray pins and that last ditch effort to cement leaderboard points. For those just wanting to blow the dust off the reels and have a fish it’s also looking spot on for a relaxing, productive fishing weekend.
Goodluck
