This Friday 19^th Jan 5pm kicks off FW 6 which is a non-sponsored Fishing weekend but we will still have our usual prizes. Normal Local Boundaries apply, with weigh in at the Taradale Club Sunday 21^st Jan.

This is a challenge weekend with anyone that gets their Pania bag limit for a species will receive an additional 40 points per fish. This excludes Smooth hounds and sharks. Note that there is a cap of 600 bonus points.

E.g 10 Snapper would be 40 points x10 fish  = 400 bonus points etc

A weekend to circle for some well earnt bonus points one feels.

Historically our Field weekends Post Xmas improve dramatically and with a great forecast this trend should carry on . Sea conditions look bloody good wherever your fishing. Gurnard seem to have eaten well this year with numbers and size turning up throughout the local Pania boundary. Snappers are about for those fishing when the bright ball in the sky is less bright, Kingfish are still roaming about and I have seen some nice sized trevally being caught. All lines up to be a great weekend for those throwing a rod in.

Prizes for heaviest Gurnard, snapper, Best Other, Best Junior, average kahawai and $150 Gun City & Fishing voucher for heaviest Snapper over 5.5kg .
