Apologies for the delay but will send through the breakdown of points for the FW next week (that time of year)

FW 8 produced 20 Kahawai, 45 Snapper. 18 Gurnard and 3 SSH. It was a variety Challenge weekend. No one cracked the 500 bonus points but George, Jayden & Kane all managed 4 species ( 400 points) respectively.

From all accounts it was a “tick away” weekend with those putting in the hours managing to full the bin in the end.

Snapper was the common theme but we are yet to see some size, amazing what a jackpot prize can do. Gurnard have been around in better numbers this year, and this showed again with the 2nd popular species caught. With kahawai surprisingly being harder to come by for FW 8.

Stand out fisher was Dakota with her first Snapper weighed in, outfishing Gary and Sue. Great stuff.

Heaviest Gurnard – Hamish 0.975 Just shy of a pin
Heaviest Snapper – George 2.16kg
Best Other – Jayden SSH 3.045kg
Average Kahawai – Ian 1.65kg
Best Junior – Dakota with a snapper stick kicking at weigh in.

No pins were caught, but this weekend could be another story. Goodluck for those giving it a nudge again.
