FW 10 Streetwise Coffee Report
Hi Team,
Not often in a calendar setup does it all align, Fw 10 certainly did. Great Forecast, great moon, good tides and the fish read the invitation to the party and came in numbers. Quantity and quality
22 clubbies fished with close to all having something to weigh and plenty of great bags. Always a good sign when 51 kahawai get weighed and it isn’t the top species:
North was the most popular, with plenty of quality fish called from Mohaka and further up at Whakaki, but there was quality fish called local and South as well. Great to see

No Pin SSH were harmed once again
Standout fish was Ahmed with a showstopper pin Snapper of 8.07kg , great fish Ahmed, took the shine of a fat Yem managing to weigh 0.56kg which is impressive in its own right. I heard whispers of 1 SSH as well but I can’t see that in the fish book.
Standout bag was Hamish with his bag limit of ten snapper , 2 which were pins 6.05Kg,7.135kg. Ten Gurnard and 5 kahawai. All done and dusted by Saturday lunch time. Bloody exceptional.
George also weighed in his bag limit of snapper and a bluecod , Kane weighed in his bag limit of Gurnard and Glen with another impressive bag of ten gurnard heaviest pin of 1.04kg and 5 snapper to boot.
Well done to everyone , there were plenty of great bags weighed . Next FW is May 2nd , fingers crossed the Southerlys stay away and we can see some more exceptional fishing locally to see out the season.
In the meantime goodluck for those making the most of the fishing in between.
Cheers
