This Saturday 5am kicks off the Pania Shield with weigh in at the Whakaki Carpark Sunday 10 am. Boundaries are from Blacks Beach bottom carpark to Wairoa Rivermouth. Pania, Gisborne and Wairoa competing.More info to come on this midweek, fingers crossed the weather can push out until later Sunday.
As per the trend this season the Gun City & Fishing Jackpot was not struck again FW 6. It now rolls over to a ridiculous $350 for the Heaviest Blue Moki 3kg+.
I’m sure Blacks beach will have a few rod stands in the sand, interestingly enough most years there’s a few good size stray moki on the sand at Whakaki caught as bycatch. Goodluck for those fishing the Pania Shield and thank you to GunCity & Fishing for their ongoing support of the Jackpot Fish.
