FW 11 Rivers to Ranges Report
20 Clubbies at weigh in for FW 11, I suspect a few more targeting Moki over a tide or two for no cigar as well.
Great tides, a settled sea locally on top of a full moon had plenty of potential pre kick off.
In general a tough slow weekend with a few fish scattered in between for those putting in the hours.
3 Moki
6 Kahawai
4 Snapper
1 SSH
3 Trevally
11 Gurnard
Show Stopper was Jaden breaking the curse and catching a very impressive 4.815kg Blue Moki resulting in finally the Jackpot fish being cracked. A juicy $550 in the back pocket for his troubles.
New junior member Tamati also weighed in an impressive bag on a slow fishing weekend, with an array of kahawai, gurnard and a snapper. Great to see our Juniors getting amongst the action.
Next FW is the last one for the season which is in 2 weekends time kicking off 15th May , a fish anywhere in NZ, always a good excuse to plan a trip away before winter kicks in.
Our last casting day is Sunday May 24th more info to come on casting and the last FW
Goodluck for those fishing the open weekend and in between.
